The Norwegian Minister of Health and Care views the COPD Patient Briefcase 
9/24/2010 9:22:54 AM On the 21st of september 2010, the Norwegian Minister of Health and Care Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen visited Dalene DMS in Egernsund, Norway.
The project manager Johannes Bergsåker-Aspøy presented the COPD Patient Briefcase project. This which will be expanded not only to more municipalities but the plan is also to use the COPD briefcase for heart failure patients.
The Minister had the opportunity to watch a consultation with a patient using the COPD Patient Briefcase. She also had the opportunity to ask the patient a few questions regarding the use of the briefcase. At the same meeting Medisat told the Norwegian Minister about the use of telemedicine in Denmark and that the Patient Briefcase also can be used for rehabilitation and heart failure patients.
The health and care minister was very enthusiastic about the COPD briefcase and stated subsequently that the goal is to use the COPD Briefcase in all hospitals in Norway.
